NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 22nd January, 1996

G.S.R. 41(E).--In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section
(1) read with clauses (d), (e) and (f) of Sub-section (2) of Section 35
and clause (c) of Section 36 of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985
(13 of 1985), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules
further to amend the Central Administrative Tribunal (Procedure) Rules,
1987, namely :--

1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Administrative

Tribunal (Procedure) Amendment Rules, 1996.

(2) They shall come intc force on the date of their publication
in the Official Gazette.

2. In Rule 3 of the Central Administrative Tribunal (Procedure)

Rules, 1987, in Sub-rule (1), in the second proviso, in clause (3), the
words, figures, letters and brackets "located in 'Region (A)' as
defined in clause (f) of rule 2 of the Official Languages (Use for
Official Purposes of the Union) Rules, 1976" shall be omitted.
