Introduction To Power Chords (Or 5' Chords)
Introduction To Power Chords (Or 5' Chords)
About:
This quality sounds good with overdrive/distortion and suits rock music
hence the name ‘power’ chords.
The chord consists of two notes: the first and fifth degrees of the major scale.
The first or root note is often doubled to make three notes in total.
Examples:
Tip-mute (silence) unwanted strings marked X. For root A shapes such as C5 the
tip of finger 1 can mute the low E.
