His name is Noam Chomsky. He´s from Lexington, Massachusetts.
He´s 88, and he´s American. He is considered the "father of modern linguistics" for being the author of Generative Grammar. His parents are William Chomsky and Elsie Simonofsky. He´s has two daughters and a son with his first dead wife Carol Doris Schatz. At age 85, in 2014 Chomsky contracted a second marriage with journalist Valeria Wasserman.
He loves to write grammar and linguistics books. He is the author of
books on grammar and linguistics and on political thought.
Chomsky worked as a researcher at Harvard University, and was for
fifty-five years a professor of Modern Languages and Linguistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he is still a professor emeritus. He is well known for his leftist and anti-war thinking.
