Big Idea
Relationships: Merriam-Webster defines this as: the state of being related or interrelated.

What type of ways do you relate to the world around you? What type of different
relationships do you have? Think outside of the conventional concept of “relationships”.

Assignment

Students will consider something in their life that they have a relationship with that can
be expressed in a conceptual video using iMovie. Your video can be very direct and
representational, or you may chose to make it more abstract. Either way, be able to justify your
concept. You will film your own video footage, use footage you already have, and/or include
photographs. You may use creative commons media, but most of the footage should be your
own (i.e. if you think a clip of a beach would really substantiate your concept and you do not
already have this, you may screencap or save creative commons media). Come up with an idea
that will be feasible to film footage for within the time given. Upload your finished video to
YouTube.
