Admission Requirements
1. General Policies
An applicant for admission in a master’s or doctoral program must be a holder of an
appropriate bachelor’s or master’s degree.
An applicant whose degree is not in line with the program he/she intends to pursue may be
admitted but will be required to take prerequisite courses.
A General weighted average of 2.5 or better in the BS or 1.75 in the master’s degree is required
for admission to the master’s degree or doctoral degree, respectively.
2. Basic Requirements
In order for an application to be processed, the following documents and fees should be
received by the Graduate School on or before the scheduled GS Entrance Test (date and venue to be
announced by the GS office).
Study Load
The normal study load of a full time student shall be 9 units per term of formal graduate
courses.
Residency Requirement
A student is given a maximum of 5 years (for master’s) or 7 years (for doctoral) to complete
his/ her degree.
An additional graduate course is required for every year beyond the maximum residency
requirement.
