Description of artifact/assignment:
Math test

Why did you choose this as one of your artifacts/assignments?

Math is my hardest subject. Throughout my years in High School I’ve always ended up with a B-
or C in math, this year I ended up passing every test I took and passed the class with an A, and
ended up not taking the final.

What academic skills did you use that are specific to this artifact/assignment?
Responsibility because I would be responsible enough to go and stay after school to get help in
math if I didn’t get the material and Time Management because I would manage my time and
was able to do every extra credit opportunity there was so I would be able to maintain a high
grade.

What general academic skills did you use (skills that would be used in any academic class)?
I used time management and responsibility to be able to complete my goal. Those two skills
could be used to improve grades in other classes as well.

Did you see growth in your targeted soft skills through the course of working on this
Artifact/Assignment? Explain.
I used time management because I managed my time to be able to study for the test and I was
responsible to be able to study for the math quiz.

Provide an example of how these academic and/or soft skills are used in a career in which you
are interested.
Time management and responsibility is going to help me with my dream of becoming a
teacher because I would had to manage my time because I would have to get everything done in
time and I would have to be responsible enough to create a plan for the day.
