Types of Wall

Basic Wall Curtain Wall Stacked Wall


Basic Wall
Create a concrete wall of 200 mm thickness.

Go to Structure Tab
Drop Down Wall Icon
Click on Wall Structural
Click on type selector (Properties)
Select Basic Wall Generic – 200mm
Click on Edit Type
A new dialogue box will Appears
Basic Wall
Click on Duplicate
Type Name as Suitable

Click OK

In this Type Properties page

Construction
Structure Tab > Click on Edit
Basic Wall
In this dialogue box we have
three important tabs
• Function
• Material
• Thickness
Select structure for
function
Select Concrete as material
For this exercise type 200 in
thickness
Click OK

Note: Main structure is always in between core boundary.

Material Selection Procedure

Click Here

Select Material from Material Browser


Select Concrete Cast in Situ
Basic Wall
Here We are working at level 2
& placing our wall from level 2 in depth to level 1
Wall Location Line

Wall Centerline :
Finish Face Interior:
Wall is drawn form
Wall is drawn from Interior
Center to Center
edge to Interior edge

Finish Face Exterior:


Wall is drawn from Exterior
edge to Exterior edge
Create Wall with Finishes

Create a Brick wall of 230 mm thickness


Apply Stucco finish on both sides of wall.
Interior finish is of 12mm thickness
Exterior finish is of 17mm thickness
Create Wall with Finishes
Select Wall Structural
From Type Selector > select 200 mm Generic Wall
Click on Edit type > Duplicate > Provide Wall Name > Edit Structure of wall

Click on Insert
• Change function as finish 1 and finish 2
• Change finish material (Stucco Finish)
for both sides as needed
• Type Thickness 12mm & 17 mm

Only Wall structure will remain in


between core boundary so move up
finish 1 & move down
finish 2 from Core Boundary.
