4. What do you think are the factors that trigger the Department of Education to implement ta
Rationalizes Structure? Do you think it is making a positive/ negative effect to the system as a
whole?

The Rationalization Program seeks to result in government with greatly improved

performance and organizational structures that are highly efficient and result-oriented. The
reforms that are be instituted require government agencies and cooperation to redefine their
proper roles in society and focus their performance improvement efforts on their core
governance functions. Concepts and principles on change and its management are presented
first in order to provide the reader with an appropriate conceptual base. Organizational, team,
and individual perspectives to change are distinguished to show the scope of change of
management. Strategies applicable to each of the processes of change are described. I think
it has a positive effect to the system as a whole because it helps us to improve our performances
and be guided as well.

5. As a teacher/ school head what is your personal note to the rationalized DepEd’s
organizational structure?

My personal note to the rationalized DepEd’s organizational structure is different fields

are highly improved like office of the secretary provides overall leadership and direction to the
national level, curriculum and instruction ensures that the organization focuses in the delivery of
a relevant, responsive, and effective a basic education curriculum around which all other
strands and offices provide support, strategic management enables the organization to focus
on long term directions and interface with the internal and external environment and
stakeholders, etc.

6. If you will become the secretary of Department of Education, propose changes on the
present organizational structure and elucidate why.

If I will be the secretary of Department of Education I will propose that implement it if all
are ready to face challenges and changes with the problems that might occur.
