School Start Times Research Proposal

I chose to write my research proposal over how school start times affect students

mentally and physically. When I first read about the assignment, I immediately knew that this

was the topic I wanted to write about. I’ve always been curious on whether going to school later

would be more beneficial. There is definitely some science behind this topic and I’m interested

in taking a deeper look into it. I also chose this topic because my friends and I have once sat

down questioning why school doesn’t have a later school times. This topic is very debatable.

Many people have different views on whether starting later will be beneficial or not.

I feel like this topic will give me a great research opportunity. I believe there will be a lot

of research out there for me to read about. I have never done research over this topic. Before I do

any research I believe starting later will have students perform better academically. I believe that

there is a true science behind this topic. I believe students will be more alive and engage more in

school assignments. I already know that this topic is controversial. Several people will have

different outtakes which means there will be a lot of research online for me to use.

There is still a lot of information I need to know for this topic. I need to have research

evidence to support my claim. I am expecting to learn a lot throughout this assignment. By the

end, I will have full research knowledge over the topic. To begin the research I think online is the

place to start. There are many scientific research published out online for me to use and learn

from. I want to know the pros and cons to school start times mentally/academically for a student.

I also wants to know the physical effects of school start times.
