1 Ospa-BlueControl® DMX light control
Light as a creative element

Controlling light, storing light, experiencing light – light creates a pleasant atmosphere and promotes well-being. Ospa is expanding
its innovative BlueControl pool control with a DMX light control module. The benefit with the Ospa-BlueControl® is the fact that the
complete wellness area can be controlled via just one touchscreen.

BlueControl®-Light+ provides the possibility to implement and control individual light concepts. Two groups for coloured RGB-W
lights and twelve individually dimmable light channels can be saved in a total of eight light scenes. The artistic possibilities are
almost unlimited. Be it underwater illumination, swimming hall lighting, showers, steam baths, saunas, adjacent rooms or the
outdoor area, all lamps can be included in the light scheme. You can therefore mix RGB colours just as easily as changing colours,
and their speed can be saved. The saved light scenes can be activated via the graphic interface of the Ospa-BlueControl®.

Another great advantage of Ospa BlueControl-Light+ is that you can easily programme lighting scenes where they are used.
Adjustments to RGB colours, brightness or colour change speed can be made directly in the BlueControl-Pilot without the
need for additional programming devices etc. The adjustments can be easily changed and saved by the operator at any time
via the graphic interface. The control buttons for the individual light scenes can of course be named as desired.
In connection with an EIB-KNX connection or another GLT-connection, the light scenes saved in the BC-Pilot can also be operated
via light switches installed by the customer.

2 Technical description
BlueControl-Light+ consists of the operation and adjustment level on the desktop of the BlueControl-Pilot, and a DMX-512 interface
to generate the data signal for DMX-512 processing terminal units ( LED- controller, dimmer, EVG etc.). The protocol corresponds
with DIN 56930.
The DMX-512 terminal units are "addressed" to the desired channel to be used as a brightness default. To synchronise multiple
light sources, these terminal units are set to the same address. With RGB or RGB-W spotlights, the start address of the red colour
channel is always set.

3 Electrical connection
The Ospa DMX interface is connected with DMX-512 components based on the enclosed connection diagrams. All components
are looped in a bus line. At the last component, the bus is terminated with a 120 Ohm terminating resistor. With the Ospa
controllers, this resistor is already installed. If multiple controllers are used in a loop, the resistors are removed with the exception of
the last controller.
For other DMX devices and RGB controllers, please observe the corresponding instructions.
4 Operating and adjustment of the light control
The light control button is on the home page of the
Ospa-BlueControl®-Pilots.

Click the "Light control” button to display the page for

operating the various light scenes.

The light in the swimming pool or whirlpool can be

switched on individually with the two large buttons. The
light scene last used comes on.
The small buttons underneath are for the individual light
scenes. A green dot in the buttons indicates which
scene is currently switched on.
The light scene can be changed by clicking the button.

4.1 Changing the programming

Click and hold a scene button (for approx. 2 seconds) to display the page where you can adjust the programming.

4.1.1 Colour adjustment

On this page you can view, change and save
adjustments made to the individual scenes.
The light control system includes two RGB groups,
RGB control 1 and RGB control 2, which can be used
to adjust the colour mixtures for RGB and RGB-W
lights.
With the slide controllers for Red, Green, Blue and
White, you can determine the corresponding
brightness of these colours by clicking and sliding
upwards and downwards.

Click the "Save" button on the far left to save the

current setting.
4.1.2 Automatic colour change
Invariable colour Automatic colour change

With the slide controllers Red, Green, and You can change over to
Blue, you can determine the corresponding brightness automatic colour change by clicking on the
of these colours. Red, for instance, is achieved by icon for "Invariable colour". The adjustment of
sliding the controls for Green and Blue completely down the individual colours Red, Green, Blue

4.1.3 Dimmer channel adjustment

Clicking the "Dimmer" tab to display the
individual dimmer channels.

With the “Dimmer 1 – 6” and “Dimmer 7 – 12”,

you have further DMX channels available,
which can be used in addition to the RGB
groups for dimming or similar.

The assignment of the controllers to the individual DMX

channels can be found in the following table.

Important note:
After restarting the BlueControl pilots following a power
failure, for instance, scene 1 is reset automatically.
You should therefore preferably use this scene as "Off" or
"Dark Scene".

4.1.4 Changing scene name

Click the text box at the bottom right to display a keypad with which you can enter the desired scene name. For the
description, you have two lines with a maximum of 20 characters.
The line break is created by entering a slash "/".

4.1.5 Save
Click the "Save" button on the far left to save the current setting.

Note: The address set determines how the individual terminal units are assigned. Addressing is always carried out at the controller (power
supply) of the terminal unit (e.g. RGB underwater spotlight, dimmer, light projector). If multiple light sources are to be controlled, these must
be set to the same address.
