With college fast approaching, I will certainly be faced with many new challenges.
Furthering one's education is no small feat and often takes years of dedication. Fortunately, I
have been raised by two amazing parents who instilled in me the very morals that allowed them
to send two young men off to college. I constantly strive to learn from them and become the best
person I can. It blows me away to think about all I have been through in only seventeen years. I
have not only my parents to thank but also my grandparents for making me the person I am
today. It was my grandmother, Linda Marshment, who first exposed me to theatrical fine arts at
La Comedia, took me to airshows and spent quality time with me that I will never forget. I have
no doubt that Kiser High School made her the person she is just like Springboro High School
made me who I am. This fall, I plan to go into the University of Cincinnati's pre-med program
where I will major in medical sciences with a minor in business. My hard working, independent
behavior will serve me well on those inevitable long nights of studying. It would be an
understatement to say I’m nervous about leaving home for the first time, but I have the faith to
know I will do well and come out of college prepared for the next chapter of my life.
