SlagtersmoaRr A literature review of analysis methods for mechanically fastened joints in composites is presented. Included are typical analytica Procedures such as for the load distribution in the joint, detailed stress analysis in the vicinity of the fastener holes and static strength prediction, as also adopted in various state-of-the-art design codes. These different procedures with their advantages and short-comings are discussed in this report. Finally, some experimental evidence on failure modes and failure criteria is reviewed.
