    Mpc3004ex (DOAC) DEV UNIT

    Mpc3004ex (DOAC), the dev unit has had a design change...no tech bulletin! The old unit has a
    gear cluster no longer found on the new unit. Its purpose is for internally removing the dev seal,
    much like the older pull-tape seal. The service manual does not mention this for this model
    except to state the procedure not being needed. There is a tool found on the inside of the transfer
    belt cover used to rotate a shaft (with orange rubber bushing) until the shaft tip with bushing is
    release for removal. Pictures attached.

    If you are not aware of this procedure or design change it is very confusing. I found this design
    change info in the parts catalog folder named "Design Change List" and can find no other
    reference to the change or the procedure for any of the above. It is just a list with no links to
    anything else, just a new number. The parts catalog shows two different PCDU part numbers,
    both label "A" with no explanation.
