Doughnut Dynasty
All or Dough-Nothing

by Rachel Rodriguez on February 13

Dear Reader,

This year has been a whirlwind with competitions and tasks and the overall running
of a company. Working here has been a learning experience, it gives one a lot to
think about and at times it can be very stressful. Regardless, working here has also
been an honor because this company has been filled with so many great people and
it truly makes one reflect on the meaning behind a business. Business is not just
about creating a product and selling it, it’s not just about the money, it’s also about
the connections you make, the memories you keep, and the lesson you learn. Reader
I can only hope that one day you find a company as great as mine.

Best Wishes, Rachel Rodriguez (CEO of the

Doughnut Dynasty Family)

Events
by Jake DiPaula, Samantha Hrbek, and Kevin Fulo on February 08

October
In October, Doughnut Dynasty attended the 5th Annual Long Island
University Leadership and Entrepreneurship Conference. On this
field trip, students gained the knowledge of learning how to produce
and expand their business. This was a success in the books for the
juniors and seniors in the company because each student attended a

class and got the privilege to learn from the finest people from LIU. After the class sessions
were over, our CEO Rachel Rodriguez pitched our business idea to a panel of judges. The
goal was to advance to the next level and at the end of the pitches, the final winners got
real prize money to be used in their companies. Overall, this day was a success for
Doughnut Dynasty. Students learned from not only adults but also students from other
Virtual Enterprise companies.

January
The 2019 Long Island Regional
Conference and Exhibition at Long
Island Post on January 9, 2019 was an
overall success for Doughnut Dynasty.
The senior high VE students were able
to accomplish their goals at this
regional conference. Just to name a
few; making sales with other VE firms,
building integrity with our consumers
with cost efficient prices, and
presenting the Doughnut Dynasty
business plan. The junior high VE
students got exposure as consumers
by using a virtual credit cards in order
to purchase virtual services and goods. Given 30 minutes to set up the booth, we were able
to establish a system so that sales, transactions, promotion by interaction and raffling
tickets were as efficient as possible. While Doughnut Dynasty had a team to work our
system at the booth, other members helped promote the company by giving out business
cards and wrist bands which had our slogan “All or Dough Nothing.” At the end of the day,
the company won two awards at the regional conference. These awards were “Silver in
Sales Materials” and “Silver in Booth Design.” To top things off, Doughnut Dynasty was able
to roughly make $40,000 in sales. (which alone is 40% of our goal of reaching $100,000 in
revenue.) Overall, this was possible due to the efforts and collaboration of all Doughnut
Dynasty employees and the guidance of Mrs. Licastri.

February
February 7th was an additional trade show that Doughnut Dynasty had planned. Event
Planner, Samantha Hrbek had organized an in-school trade
show to expose who we are and what we do as a VE firm in a
professional manner. Here we were able to raise awareness
for who Doughnut Dynasty is and what we do. As an
additional part to this event, we sol real doughnuts and gave
away a prize for a “guess the the number” contest, the image
on the right shows our winner. Overall, the event was a
success and helped further our company into greatness.

Invest and Partner With Us

by Brianna Becker, Kevin Fulo, Shane Salem, and Syed Raza on January 15

We highly, highly recommend that you invest with us, Doughnut Dynasty. Why you may
ask? Well, here’s our story:

From the birth of our company to where we are now, the successfulness of Doughnut
Dynasty has gone up past our expectations. Our VE firm has successfully surpassed one of
its many long terms goals: building up revenue from $0 to $100,000. Ever since the trade
show at LIU Post during January, we have increased our revenue up to $40,000; which was
40% of our long term goal. A month later, our Event Planner had organized an in-school
trade show to expose who we are and what we do as a VE firm in a professional manner. At
this in-school trade show, we shot up from $40,000 to $115,000 in total revenue, way past
our long term goal. You may say that our expected amount is “lacking” but here at
Doughnut Dynasty, integrity is highly valued because a company builds a bridge to its
customers. They can only cross when they know and truly believe that our bridge is safe. It
is assured to say that although we are a newly found company, we have been doing
exceedingly well in collaboration, sales, and marketing, which is why you should, no, must
invest your time, energy, and money in our company; Doughnut Dynasty.
