SUB: FIRE SERVICES WEEK (APRIL 14 – 20) CAMPAIGN, 2019

Dear Sir,
The Fire Services Week (FSW) is observed nation-wide under the guidance of the Fire Adviser, Ministry of
Home Affairs, Govt. of India during April 14–20. This is in remembrance of the lives lost in the devastating
fire that erupted and the explosions that followed on 14th April, 1944 at the Victoria Dock in the Bombay
Port and also to prevent fire in all industries.
National Safety Council (NSC) has been promoting the FSW Campaign each year with a view to propagate
Fire Safety awareness amongst employees, their families and the public by way of developing appropriate
promotional material related to prevention of fire and protection of life & property, in the form of Pocket
guides, special fire safety posters, banners and other promotional utility items.
This year NSC is introducing one day Evacuation Drill at company premises & continuing In plant
Awareness Program on fire safety / Electrical safety for fire prevention, FSW Badge, One Day Check list
Audits on Fire Safety / Electrical Safety at company premises in the month of March, April & May 2019.
The Guidelines for observance of Campaign offered to the Members and Patrons for last few years is
available in our website (www.nsc.org.in). For 2019 NSC is organizing the following events and offering
promotional material (details in the Order & Training Brochure):
A) Fire Service Week Badge: Multi color printed on art paper in English on one side & Hindi on other
B) In plant Awareness Program: on Electrical Safety for fire prevention at company premises (For details
see attached Brochure).

b. The orders will be executed on ‘first-come-first-served’ basis.
c. Any complaints regarding non-receipt/short supply of the materials should be intimated within a
month from the date of dispatch of material. Complaints received thereafter may not be entertained.

The order must be placed with full advance payment by DD/Cheque drawn in favour of National
Safety Council payable at Mumbai towards the cost of FSW material.
