I’ve heard a lot about Texas Roadhouse but every time I drove by they were
always so busy I didn’t bother eating there. My step dad dined there recently and liked
it, so he dragged the whole family there for his birthday. There are a couple things I look
for in a good restaurant; good service, good food, good hygiene, and atmosphere.
When we walked in it was so crowded I didn’t know how or where to stand. The
decor was very country themed as expected at a steakhouse called Texas Roadhouse.
There were cowboy hats of all sizes everywhere, there were various animal heads on
the walls jutting out of the wall, and lots of LED signs beaming at you brighter than usual
due to the lack of proper lighting inside. The floor was covered in peanut shells. There
were a million conversations going on at once. Country music blared so loud I felt like I
had to yell to talk to my mom who was right next to me. It was so overwhelming and
difficult to concentrate on our conversation. I was just trying to take up the least amount
of space as possible. This was a rough start for Roadhouse, I was not really digging the
atmosphere.
However, the hosts were very helpful and good at making sure when you came
in you knew where to go and they were all very polite. They greeted us as soon as they
saw us. They directed us to the seating area because there was a bit of a wait but as

soon as there was an available table we were seated. The hostess that took us to our
table was very polite and held a conversation the whole time we were walking. Our
server came to our table within the same minute to take our drink orders. She
introduced herself, talked a little about the restaurant, and read us all the drink specials.
My mom was a pain and asked a bunch of questions and our waitress answered all her
questions very politely. She was back shortly to take our food order and was also
patient with my little brother when he changed his order three times. Plus, she also
brought us rolls every five minutes since my family was devouring them. The service at
Texas Roadhouse was immaculate. Employees there seemed to care about the
customers.
Our food came within the next fifteen minutes. My steak was cooked just how I
asked but, my moms was over cooked and slightly dry. My steak was perfect I didn’t
even need to smother it in A1 sauce. The edges were charred but the inside was still
juicy. I also ordered the house salads as one of my sides. The lettuce was fresh and
crisp, and the ranch dressing was good. I asked the waitress where they get it and she
said they make it in house from scratch which I thought was cool. My other side was the
Mac and cheese which I wasn’t super impressed with. The macaroni noodles were
skinny and looked like the Kraft Mac and Cheese noodles. It was also kind of dry for
Mac and cheese. My family enjoyed their food which is impressive because my mom
and brother are picky and usually find something to complain about. So, the food was
great as well.
When we were finished eating we got up to leave and it was really crowded.
There were servers running around with full trays of food, hostesses seating people,

and bussers with full bus bins booking it to the kitchen. I didn’t really like that it was so
busy, but it showed how efficient and hard working the employees are.
I would not recommend Texas Roadhouse if you are trying to have a nice
relaxing dinner or if you plan on having a lot of conversations with the people you’re
dining with. It is extremely loud and busy so it’s a little hard to relax and have a
conversation. If you’re planning on going out with some friends and watching whatever
sporting event is on and enjoying a steak Texas Roadhouse is the place to go. The
environment inside the restaurant is very upbeat and happy it was just loud, and a lot
was going on. The service was great, and the food was delicious so if you can handle a
