Dear Parents and Guardians,

Hello! My name is Nicolette McCarthy and I have the extreme pleasure of being in your
child’s classroom. This opportunity is in order for myself to complete the required student
teaching hours for the specific courses I am taking. To share a little more about myself, I am
currently a junior enrolled in Monmouth University, soon to be graduating with a degree in
secondary education and English with an endorsement in special education. I have had many
experiences of student teaching in districts such as Long Branch, Ocean Township, and Asbury
Park, ranging from the middle school to high school level. I will be in the classroom from the
beginning of February up until the end of April, or in my case the end of my semester. I am
looking forward to getting to know your son/daughter in the upcoming weeks. We will have
