The fresh oxygen replenishes my lungs as

Sand tickles me from my nose to my toes

Another crisp breath of salt and sunshine

A warm welcome from the ocean to the shore

A remedy for the soul
The seagulls swoop above my head
Helplessly begging for a crumb

I sluggishly rise placing one foot into the tide

The chilly water; refreshing and shocking to my sun kissed skin

A warm, yet shivery, wind breezes through my body

The delicate swish of the indestructible waves whispers to me
The blue reaches out to the boats in the distance
Across the oasis of serenity
