“Bayu’s Big Deal”

One day in the daylight under the sun, Bayu had finished his study in

colledge. He felt so hungry and thisty, and he decided to buy a bowl of chicken

noodle and a glass of orange juice. The place isn’t clean enough but bayu still eat

in that palce. After finished his meal, bayu go to his house by his motorcycle, but

on the way to house he felt sick in his stomach.

When he had arrived in his house he still felt hurt. He changed his clothes

and sat on the chair. Five minute later bayu go to toilet because he felt slight
stomach upset. After that bayu sat on the chair again and get a telephone from

his friend. Resa

Resa : (the phone is ringing)

Bayu : “Hello?”

Resa :”Is Bayu there please!”

Bayu :”speaking”

Resa :”Hai, Would you like to join to play football with me Bayu?”

Bayu :”That’s good idea!”

Resa :”Yes”

Bayu :”when ?”

Resa :”This Evening”

Bayu :”Where?”

Resa :”in Sawitri football center”

Bayu :”oh ok. wait wait waittttttt…” (bayu felt so hurt on his stomach
and go to toilet)

Resa :”What’s happen???”

Phone End…

Bayu got his three times of defecation that time. he so tired and decided to

ask to dr.Agustin, his privat doctor.

(on message)

Bayu :”Hello doctor. My name is Bayu. Sorry I am wasting your time

doctor.

Doctor :”No Problem. What’s Happen?”

 Bayu :”I had 3 times of defecation today, feel so hurt on my stomach
and feel so dizzy. What should I do doctor?”

Doctor :”you need to drink more water. I afraid you will get dehydration
after that

Bayu :”Alright Doctor”

Doctor :”don’t forget to take more rest”

Bayu :”ok. Doctor. Thank you for your suggest.”

Doctor :”you are welcome”

After had a conversation with dr.Agustin he feel loathing and run to toilet

and throw up away. After that bayu talk to his mother about all the things that

happen to him.

Bayu :”Mom I got sick”

Mom :”why honey?”

Bayu :”I got 3 times of defecation this time, I felt hurt on my stomach,
thow up away and felt do dizzy.”

Mom :”oh my goodness. Why it happen to you?” (panic)

Bayu :”I don’t know. But after collage I ate a bowl of spicy chicken
noodles and a glass of orange juice.”

Mom :”why you eat that? I had cooked some food for you”

Bayu :”I too hungry”

Mom :”emhh ok baby. is it hurt?” (touch bayu’s stomach)

Bayu :”yess mom.”

Mom :”I think you need to go to hospital right now.”

Bayu :”is that should?”

Mom :”yes of course. Now change your clothes.”

(Bayu changes his clotes)

 Bayu :”I am done mom”

Mom :”Alright lets go”

Bayu :”wait wait waittttt”

(Bayu go to toilet again and again)

Bayu :”Alright mom let’s go”

Bayu and his mother go to hospital. After arrive in hospital, bayu get into
the emergency room because he is in serious condition. Bayu check by dr.Deti.

dr. Deti :”sorry sir, what’s your name?”

Bayu :”my name is Triana Bayu doctor”

dr. Deti :”alright Mr.Bayu what you feel right now?”

Bayu :” I got 4 times of defecation today doctor, I felt hurt on my

stomach, thow up away and felt do dizzy.”

dr.Deti :”alright I will check your blood preasure and heart rate
first”

(dr. Deti check his Blood Preassure and Heart Rate)

dr.Deti :”ok Mr.Bayu your blood preassure was normal, but your
herat rate was 110/minute.”

Bayu :”are you sure doctor?”

dr.Deti :”yes sure Mr.Bayu. so, when the first time you feel that
hurt ?”

Bayu :”I felt hurt on my stomach at 1 am after ate a bowl of

chicken noodles and a glass of orange juice. Since that I
always get a defecation.”

dr. Deti :”ok. Now I want to check your blood to laboratory. Maybe
it takes two hour to see the result.”

Bayu :”is that should?”

dr.Deti :”yes of course, because we will know what’s the real

happen to you from that laboratory result Mr Bayu.”
 Mom :”can we go home while waiting the result doctor ?”

dr.Deti :”No Miss. Bayu need to take care in this hospital to get an
intensive treatment. Now you can go to administration to
get a room miss.

Mom :”yes doctor. Thank you .”

dr. Deti :”you’re welcome”

(Mom go to the Administration)

(in Administration)

(Adm) Tiara :”Evening miss”

Mom :”Evening miss”

(Adm) Tiara :”May I help you.”

Mom :”yes miss, my son will take care in this hospital. Doctor
said that I need to go to Administration.”

(Adm) Tiara :”Alright miss. May I see your son inhibitant sign card and
insurance card?”

Mom :”sure, hese is it” (mom give the cards)

(Adm) Tiara :”ok, a moment please…”

Administration call to the nurse of Orchid room to make sure that there’s
an empty bed for Bayu.

(Phone Conversation..)

(Adm) Tiara : Phone ringing

N.Melinda :”Hello?”

(Adm) Tiara :”this is Administration calling for Orchid Room..”

N.Melinda :”yes this is Orchid room. How can I help you?”

(Adm) Tiara :”is there an empty bed for one patient please?”

N.Melinda :”one moment please”

 (Nurse Melinda Check the Patient Bed List)

N.Melinda :”There’s an empy bed miss. What’s patient name?”

(Adm) Tiara :”Patient name is Triana Bayu, 20 years old, move from
Emergency room to Orchid room.”

N.Melinda :”Alright miss. I will prepare it. The patient can be move in
10 minute.”

(Adm) Tiara :”Thank you very much”

N.Melinda :”You’re welcome”.

(Administration talk to the Bayu’s mom)

(Adm) Tiara :”Alright miss, Mr.Bayu can be move in 10 minute. Give

this letter to the doctor.”

Mom :”ok. Thank you miss”

(Adm) Tiara :”You’re welcome”

After got a letter from administration, Bayu move to Orchid room helped
by Nurse Akhmad. After that Nurse Melinda give an Assesment to Bayu.

N.Melinda :”hello good Evening sir”

Bayu :”Morning Nurse”

N.Melinda :”how are you today?”

Bayu :”I’m not good enough nurse”

N.Melinda :”hmm ok. May I know your name sir?”

Bayu :”my name is Triana Bayu”

N.Melinda :”ok, may I see your bracelet please?”

Bayu :”here it is..” (give his hand to nurse)

N.Melinda :”Ok it’s true. Mr.Bayu what’s you feel right now?”

Bayu :”I feel hurt on my stomach, dizzy and feel loathing”

N.Melinda :”hmm ok, now I want to check your vital sign first”

Bayu :”ok nurse”

(Nurse check his vital sign)

N.Melinda :”ok I’m done. Your Blood Preassure was 130 over 80,
Heart Rate 90x/minute, Respiration Rate 24x/minute and
your temperature was 37 degrees celcius”

Bayu :”is that normal nurse ?”

N.Melinda :”not with your Blood Preassure sir. Maybe it cause by your
anxiety. Don’t worry it is not dangerous.”

Bayu :”Alhamdulillah..”

N.Melinda :”ok sir, I’ll back, if you need my help you can call me in
nurse station or press this button”

Bayu :”Thank you”

N.Melinda :”you’re welcome”

After had checked by Nurse Melinda, bayu get a call from Resa

On Phone

Resa : Phone Ringing

Bayu :”hallo”

Resa :”hai bro, what’s happen to you. Let’s play football together”

Bayu :”sorry bro, I can’t go along with you all. I got sick. And now I’m
in hospital”

Resa :”Are you serious? Or just kidding?”

Bayu :”I serious”

Resa :”why that happen to you?”

Bayu :”maybe it cause by my bad eating habbit”

Resa :”I’m sorry to hear that bro. where are you now?”

Bayu :”I’m in Medical Hospital, Orchid room bed 2”

 Resa :”Alright. Wait for me.”

Bayu :”ok bro”

Resa :”bye”

Bayu :”bye..”

Phone Ended…

Mom :”Who is that?”

Bayu :”Resa, he said that he will come here”

Mom :”hmm ok”

While Bayu and Resa on Conversation, doctor and nurses had discuss
about Bayu’s laboratory result .

N.Indry :”here is the result doctor. We found a bacteria in his colon

that’s why Mr.Bayu get any defecation..”

dr. Deti :”ok thank you. Hmmm you right nurse.”

N.Indry :”named of the bacteria is Esscerciacolli, and had inflamed

his colon.”

N.Akhmad :”What should we do next?”

N.Indry :”I think we have to tell it first. Because all the decision
come from the patient. If he Accept , we can strart to give
the treatment.

dr. Deti :”I agree with Nurse Indry. We tell it first.”

N.Akhmad :”Alright”

dr. Deti :”Nurse Indry would you go along with me to the patient?”

N.Indry :”Sure doctor”

Nurse Indry and doctor Deti come to Bayu to breaking bad news

Dr. Deti :"Assalamualaikum Mr. Bayu I’m dr. Deti and my

partner.."
N.Indry : "My name is Nurse Indry. Was so nice to meet you. "

(doctor Deti and Nurse Indry sit down on the chair)

Dr. Deti : "Would you like to tell me what's going on Mr.Akhmad ?"

Bayu :"I got diarrhea, vomited all food I ate, lost of Appetite, and

I felt hurt on my stomach”

Dr. Deti : "oh ok. first I am sorry for you're waiting. Hmm ok you

got diarrhea, vomited all food you ate, lost of Appetite, and

felt hurt on your stomach."

Bayu : "yes like that."

Dr. Deti : "ok, what about your diarrhea? how long has it been?"

Bayu : "it has been 6 hour"

Dr. Deti :"alright. hmm Mr Akhmad I am afraid there's some bad

news for you"

Bayu : "are you sure ?"

Dr. Deti : "yes. I have checked your laboratory result very carefully.

Nurse indry will tell it clearly."

N.Indry :"yes Mr. Bayu we found there's a bacteria in your stomach,

the named is Escherichia coli. This Bacteria infect your

colon. It makes malabsorption till you got a diarrhea,

always feel hurt in your stomach. Sorry but I’m afraid if

you got a Acute diarrhea "

Mom : "are you serious? I am very shock to hear that"

(Give patient and his mom time to absorb the news)

N.Indry : "I know it's hard for you to accept it."

(Patient look very stress)

N.Indry : "May I continue Sir?"

Bayu : "yes sure "(crying)

N.Indry : "the Infection maybe common when there is a shortage of

adequate sanitation and hygiene and safe water for drinking,

cooking and cleaning. If this disease not handle as quickly

we afraid it makes Chronic Dhiaorrea. "

Mom :”I was really shock to hear that”

N.Indry : "don't worry sir, maam. we are going to be with you every

step and than we can keep taking good care of you."

(Patient still quiet)

Dr. Deti :”do you have a question?”

Bayu :”No, is clear enough”

Dr. Deti :”I hope you get well as soon as possible”

Bayu : : “Aamiin”

Mom :”thank you doctor, nurse”

Dr. Deti :”you’re welcome”

N.Indry :”You’re welcome”

Doctor Deti and Nurse indry back to nurse station. After that, resa come .

Resa :”hai what’s up?”

Bayu :”hai”
 Resa :”hello mom how are you? (greating to bayu’s mother)

Mom :”I’m fine, what about you resa?”

Resa :”I’m fine too. how about your condition Bayu?”

Bayu :”so bad, doctor said that I got an acute diarrhea”

Resa :”Oh my God! then ?”

Bayu :”doctor said that I have to stay in here after the condition

good enough”

Resa :”be patient bro.. everything will be alright”

After Resa and Bayu talking for 30 minute, Nurse Akhmad come and give

an intervention to Bayu.

N.Akhmad :”I’m sorry sir, an attendant just for one person. The patient

need to take more rest”

Resa :”oh I’m sorry nurse. Bro I will back. Get well as soon as

possible”

Bayu :”Thank you bro”

(Resa out from that hospital room)

N.Akhmad :”Alright Mr.Bayu there are some treatment for you.

Medicine, diet, and other. Nurse Susi will come in 20

minute to give you treatment”

Bayu :”ok. Thank you”

N.Akhmad :”you’re welcome”

 After 20 minute, nurse Susi come to give any treatment

N.Susi :”good evening sir”

Bayu :”evening nurse”

N.Susi :”is it Mr. Bayu right?”

Bayu :”yes sure nurse”

N.Susi :”may I see your bracelet first please?”

Bayu :”sure” (give his hand to nurse Susi)

N.Susi :”ok right. as your agreement with nurse Akhmad, now I

will give some treatment for you . Alright Mr.Bayu this is
your medicine. the medicine name is Loperamide. You have
to drink this medicine 2 time a day. Make sure you eat this
after have an eat.”

Bayu : “Ok, thank you nurse. “

N.Susi : “This Loperamide medicine has dose of 4 mg.”

Bayu : “Ok, thank you”

N.Susi : “Mr. Bayu you must know the side effect of this madicine
is Heart rhythm disturbances, Dizzines, Rash, The stomach
bloating, and Abdominal pain. “

Bayu : “Yes, thank you nurse.”

N.Susi : “Any question?”

Bayu : “No, thank you.”

N.Susi : “you are welcome”

Nurse Susi back to nurse station after gave a madicini for Bayu. Then
bayu and his mother have a conversation.
 Mom :”look! It all cause by your bad eating habit”

Bayu :”sorry mom ”

Mom :”never try to do it again! Now you know how hurt is it”

Bayu :”yes mom ”

Mom :”Good. Now you need to take rest. Don’t worry you will get well.
I’ll here for you”

Bayu :”thank you mom”

Couple days later after get any treatment from hospital, Bayu give a very
good progress. Nurse Tiara come to give a good news for him.

N. Tiara :”good morning Mr. Bayu”

Bayu :”morning nurse”

N. Tiara :”how are you today?”

Bayu :”i feel good”

N. Tiara :”Alright very good. Ok Mr.Bayu I have a good news for

you”

Bayu :”what is that?”

N. Tiara :”because in three days you gave a very good progress. This
afternoon you can return home”

Mom :”are you sure?”

N. Tiara :”yes sure maam.”

Mom & Bayu :”Alhamdulillah”

N. Tiara :”here is your administration letter. Give it to the security

before you out from this hospital.”
 Bayu :”ok. Thank you so much nurse”

N. Tiara :”You’re welcome”

After that, Bayu can return home and get healty again. Bayu learn
something from all the things he got trough, it is “never neglect little things. Keep
your healthy life because being healthy is priceless“
