Diminished Responsibility

By Zakk Wylde

JTC Says - The backing is basically in E minor, but with that Bb5 (the flat 5th) adding a menacingly dark sound.
Zakk starts off using the E minor pentatonic (E G A B D), but then shifts to a symmetrical diminished pattern on the
top two strings. This generates the E half/whole diminished scale (E F G Ab Bb B C# D). If you're feeling ambitious,
shift the pattern to the G string as well... if you just play it on the E and G strings, you get an Edim7 arpeggio (E G
Bb C#).
