Q10 Please enter general comments below related to your observations.

Students arrived after art, escorted by Ms. Ysquierdo. Children went to their seats and prepared for a short movie (4 minutes) about
American Indians and social studies review game.

Q11 What went well:

Ms. Ysquierdo waited at the doorway until all children had entered the classroom following art. She introduced the purpose of the lesson
which was to use Kahoot to review the first part of an American Indian unit. When students were off track, Ms. Ysquierdo counted down
5-1 several times and asked them to give thumbs up if they were ready. After the movie, students were asked to turn to their partners to
talk about something new that they learned from the video. Then various students were called on to share what they learned.

Q12 What could be done differently:

Be sure to move away from the front of the room throughout all of the parts of the lesson.

Q13 Candidate's strengths:

Ms. Ysquierdo demonstrates a positive and friendly affect, as well as great interactions and rapport with students. During the Kahoot
game, when questions were missed Ms. Ysquierdo either provided additional information about the subject of the question, or explained
why the answer would or would not be correct.

Q14 Areas that need refinement:

Watch use of "So" and "Ok, so."

There were some difficult facts to remember in this unit. Come to the review prepared to give students tips on how to remember these
facts either through mnemonics, rhyme, etc.

Q15 Focus for next observation:

Think of additional ways you might use with students to settle students down; check with the cooperating teacher first to be sure that
she is agreeable with your new strategy.
