REFLECTIONS

I took this class because I thought that it would be interesting to be exposed and learn about music and
other types of music that I have not listened to. This class has been that. I have attended concerts that I
have not been exposed to or would have went to before. I have really enjoyed the symphonies, I didn’t
think that I would but I attended the Salt Lake Symphony and enjoyed the music and the ballet dancers
that also performed during the concert. I also got to attend the Army big band concert and loved
watching the people that attended dance to the old time songs. The exams were challenging for me
because so much of the information about music was new to me and even though I had learned the
concepts in the chapters I was proficient with the fine details that were in the exams. I enjoyed putting
together the project. I choose an artist that I was familiar with and very fond of. I love all of his music
and had a hard time picking my top favorites to include in my power point. I learned things about my
artist that I didn’t know. This class was outside of the box for me but I have enjoyed it and am very glad
that I took this class.
