To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of James Stull. I have had the privilege of serving as James’ professor
in the Teacher Education program at Azusa Pacific University. James has taken a classroom
management and instructional strategies course from me, whereby he designed lesson plans using
various instructional models.

It was truly my pleasure to witness James’ engagement with course content and peer collaboration,
showing enthusiasm and commitment to excellence. James is the kind of teacher and person I definitely
would want on staff, if I was an administrator. James not only demonstrated competency in the
evaluation process of course outcomes, but exhibited excellence in the lesson preparation and
development of effective strategies for instructional planning. James’ assignments and class discussions
always reflected careful thought to instruction and student engagement. It certainly could be said of
him that he put valuable time and effort into preparing for each class and the corresponding
assignments.

In addition to James’ academic aptitude, he displayed the find of professionalism and character that
is so essential to building a collaborative and effective school environment. He was well respected by
his peers. His responses in class were always insightful and well received. Furthermore, James has a
commitment to excellence, with which I believe will be a true asset in the classroom and with his fellow
colleagues at the school site in which he works.

Therefore, to any school site that is wise enough to see the character and teaching gift that James
possesses, it is my strong recommendation that they hire James as part of their staff. I have no
reservations regarding my recommendation, for I know he will prove to be a valuable asset at any
school. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (951) 304-3400 ext. 5529. Thank
you.
