Coke Zero ad

This Coca Cola zero ad is well developed and thought out ad because of the many small

details and colors in it. This ad was printed and posted online by Coca Cola for their product

Coke Zero in 2015. The way this ad looks it was probably posted during the hot summer and

mainly targeted youth, and the old. The bright and different colors are used very intelligently,

and the text is right on how it wants to describe how this new product tastes and how it looks. By

doing so, it makes people want to buy the drink and the people who already like the normal coke

as well. There are many topics to go over on why this ad is smart and very developed, let’s go

over them.

The first thing that people will notice in this ad is always going to be who’s in it and who

the models are. Here it shows two young adults who seem very close to each other and how

physical they are being with each other. Here the young woman has her hand on the shoulder of

the man and resting on his head as well. The next thing to notice the most is what their facial

expression is and why the couple are using those specific expressions. The young man has his

eyes closed and smiling which suggests to us that he already had a sip meaning that the coke zero

in his hand is very good tasting and helps him refresh himself. While the young lady is looking at

the audience with eyes that are trying to tell us that we should try it as well as she is now taking a

sip. Because of all this, the drink looks very appealing and would help us feel refreshed if we

bought the product that’s in their hands.

Color is very important as well as it helps set the mood of these young people. What

supports the attitude and feelings we receive from looking at the couple and how relaxed they are

is color. The colors Coca Cola here uses is very bright, light, powerful, and gentle. The two

colors that stand out in this whole ad is red and white. These two colors are the logo if the

product as well as the clothing of the young adults. The woman wears a red top that suggests

power and the man wears a white button up shirt that suggests calmness and tranquility. The

brightness in the background also means that the couple are outside and possibly at the beach

since it’s a bright day, the sun is out and the clothes the couple are wearing. Then looking a little

lower is the product that makes them feel the way they’re expressing.

The product itself is at the center of the ad but not completely. Here its at the bottom

center and the people who made this ad thought of this to make the targets of this ad look at the

young couple first to share their feelings with the audience and then as the audience looks at the

ad more, they find out what’s making them feel that way. The product here is a coke zero glass

bottle with a red and white spiral straw. The straw is swirled and striped with colors red, white

and is the same colors as the couple’s clothes and could signify how the relationship between

them is and represent the company logo’s main color. Another thing is the way the coke is shown

and how bright the light shows through the soda making the soda more refreshing as the light

goes through it. Since the bottle is glass it also emphasizes that the company takes care of the

product since it made from glass and this material is very fragile which needs gentle care.

The targeted audience here are young people who are fit because of the way the people

are dressed and how they feel and look. Another type of audience this ad targets are old people

who want to feel the same way they did back in their days and how they want to feel refreshed

once more even in their age. Those are the two main groups that are targeted here and next are

not allowed to have much sugar and this purpose is to show that coke is not only for the fit but

also for everyone who likes coca cola.

This is a very successful ad because the more people inspect it the more people would

want to feel the same way and how it tastes because of the text which says, “tastes like coke,

looks more like coke” and it shown literally in the couple’s facial expression and the colors

support this happy and refreshed feeling. Targets everyone and will work for everyone. By using

a young couple who are attractive, it makes people want to be like them and specifies who the

targets of this ad are. Then people discover why they look and feel relaxed is the product coke

zero which looks refreshing due to the lighting and how available they are in every store. In the

end this ad worked on people and now it’s a product that many people buy.
