Dear Ms. Pozel,

My topic is about minorities and spending money per year. I chose this topic because I found

this shocking. I thought it would be interesting to investigate the reasoning behind this statistic.

My research question is What are we (African Americans) spending our money on to

where we are spending 1.2 Trillion dollars annually? I would like to know what we are spending

our money on to where we are spending 1.2 Trillion dollars on. Is what we are spending our

money on, bettering our future? Investments? Housing? Our own businesses? Or are we

spending our money on Shoes? Cars? Name brand clothing? Accessories? I wonder if we are

spending more money on things that will benefit us in the future, or more on materialist things.

So, I’m really not trying to prove anything, but I would like to see something positive, something

I could brag about such as high or increasing rates in spending for a go cause.

I understand that plagiarism is cheating, stealing property, and academic theft. I’m not

sure how I would like to present this but I plan to incorporate my artwork. As soon as think of
how I’m going to go about this, I will start working on it. By the beginning of March, I plan to

already have started my project.

Sincerely,
