Geocentricity

Introduction
It is a simple fact. The Bible is Geocentric and science also confirms that our Earth is at the center of
the Universe and is a stationary planet. It is FIXED and motionless.

“O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and
oppositions of science falsely so called:”

1 Timothy 6:20

The Bible is our Authority. And all true science confirms the Bible. This fact is true on the matter of
Geocentricity and every other question of science. Once you reject God’s word, your ability to sanely

and accurately assess God’s Creation is diminished.

On the other hand, once you lay aside the childishness, the mindless and uncritical acceptance of the
Copernican THEORY, and the mockery that always comes from people when they cannot actually
refute your position of Creationism and Geocentricity, then the truth becomes clear and the error
becomes a much easier issue to put to rest.

However, the mockery is so strong and pervasive that Christian Creation ministries, for the most part,

seek to distance themselves from the truth of Geocentricity. The Institute for Creation Research (ICR)
is a case in point. Dr. Gerald A. Aardsma, writing for ICR, admits that in light of Einstein’s Theory of
Relativity, Geocentricity is fully scientific and acceptable. He says, “According to this theory the
geocentric and heliocentric viewpoints are equally valid representations of reality, and it makes no
sense whatsoever scientifically to speak of one as being true and the other false.”1

But then, Dr. Aardsma closes his thoughts on the matter by saying, “Geocentricity and creationism are
really separate matters. Because of the contrast in the way the Bible deals with these two issues, I
believe that attempts to link geocentricity and creationism are ill-founded.”2

In other words, “touch not the unclean thing!”

We will not take the time and space required to challenge Dr. Aardsma’s article. But the reader
who takes the time to visit and read what he wrote will notice that it is a flimsy piece that ignores the
numerous Geocentric Bible passages, while downplaying the Biblical teaching of Geocentricity in
order to excuse ICR’s refusal to take a stand on the matter.

The Scientific Method vs. Pagan Superstition

Science is based upon demonstrable observations. In other words, you simply observe the matter being
studied, collect the data and let the data stand.

The Bible says in Romans 1:19, “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for
God hath shewed it unto them.”

It is commendable to look at Creation and observe the handiwork of God. This is what true science is
all about and that is what the great scientists of the past who founded and perfected nearly ALL major

Ph.D., posted by the same Institute for Creation Research mentioned by.)3

And as we look honestly at Creation and use the TRUE scientific method, we learn of God with His
word as our authority, as it says in Romans 1:20, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of
the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

If you choose NOT to simply accept what is observed and you choose NOT to accept His word as your
authority, then you will fulfill exactly what Romans 1:21-22 describes saying, “Because that, when

they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their
imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became
fools,…”

And THAT is what has happened to what we will call “modern science.” It has DEVOLVED into
pagan superstition as our text says. The rejection of observed science and God’s word leads to disaster:

Romans 1:23-25, “And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to
corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave
them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between
themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than
the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”

The Anti-Biblical Foundations of Heliocentricity

It might be shocking to some to find out that the motivation and movement to discredit Scripture and to
establish Heliocentricity was NOT scientific but religious. It was NOT Christian, but pagan Greek
philosophy. And the main players behind the shift from Biblical Christianity to pagan cosmology was
driven by a godless system of philosophy, as we are warned by our apostle Paul:

Colossians 2:8, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition
of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”

Nicolaus Copernicus (1473-1543), specifically, was a follower, admirer and disciple of the pagan
philsophers. The “god” of this world is the god behind this movement and all references to a god made
by these men (and women) must be understood in that context. Their god was not the God of the Bible,
but the god of pagan myth and secret orders, all of which had their foundations laid in the Babylonian
Mysteries.

With this Satanic motivation, Copernicus simply followed the foundation already laid by previous
“scientists” of the pagan variety prior to the work of Ptolemy who lived from 90 to 168 AD. These
pagan Heliocentric philosophers include:

 Yajnavalkya who lived during the 9th Century BC. He was one of the first recorded
Heliocentrics. He was a pagan, Indian-Vedic philosopher who wrote in a “sacred Hindu text ”
the following: “The sun strings these worlds – the earth, the planets, the atmosphere – to himself

 on a thread.”
 Aristarchus of Samos lived from 310 to 230 BC. He was a pagan Greek philosopher who is
credited with the earliest Heliocentric claim found in “western civilization”.
 Plato was a Sodomite Greek philosopher who lived from 428 to 348 BC. His influence is felt
throughout apostate Christendom and most of the “western world” in the areas of science,
philosophy and religion. He held to the Heliocentric view with a philosophical devotion to the
Sun. See his, “Analogy of the Sun,”5 for example.
 Aristotle was a pupil of Plato. He lived from 384 to 322 BC. He, too, was a Sodomite who
held to a pagan Heliocentric view of the earth.

These men died in their sins and unbelief. And men like Copernicus adopted their unbelief (with no
record of Copernicus adopting their Sodomite sin, only that he never married, which proves nothing, at
all.)

But what we do know is that Copernicus spoke of the Sun in spiritually glowing terms that betrayed an
almost idolatrous attitude saying: “In the center of all rests the Sun. For who would place this lamp of a
very beautiful temple in another or better place than this from which it can illuminate everything at the
same time.”6

This sun-centered philosophy called, “Heliocentricity,” is the natural result of the Romans 1
progression that we discussed above. But due to the influence of Ptolemy and the Bible, as Christianity
spread around the world, Heliocentricity fell into disrepute and Geocentricity held the day. Until
Copernicus and his pagan revival of Heliocentricity.

The Copernican Principle

With the earth “bumped” from it’s central place in the solar system, it was no great leap to move our
solar system from any central role in the universe. Earth is nothing special, contrary to Aristotles
Heliocentric model with earth playing a central role. The planetary system in which Earth resides isn’t
special. Even the Milky Way Galaxy itself, which hosts our local solar system is “nothing special” in
the universe.

This pagan rule of thumb in cosmology has been the foundation for astronomical studies for more than
500 years running and, in reality, helped birth the ancient, pagan doctrine of “evolution” which was
revived by Darwin’s,“On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation

of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life.” Darwin was a believer in the Copernican Theory.

This ruling influence of the Copernican Principle is represented in the view expressed by Carl Sagan
in the 1980 TV series, “Cosmos“7 and in his book titled, “Pale Blue Dot.”

“Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in
the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great
enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from
elsewhere to save us from ourselves.” 8

Note the words, ” the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, …” On the
contrary, the actual scientific evidence DOES point to the earth as a, “Privileged Planet,” as
documented by Guillermo Gonzalez and Jay W. Richards in their incredibly well made film by that
title. (NOTE: There is an Heliocentric foundation to the presentation of the science behind,
“Privileged Planet,” but the refutation of the Copernican Principle is clearly established and is an
important step toward a return to Geocentricity.)

But once you throw Earth off of it’s God-given place of centrality, then you have in effect thrown GOD
of of His throne, as well. This “philosophical” change referred to as, “The Principle of Mediocrity,”
supposes that Earth and Mankind are not any sort of “special creation”. Everything you see on Earth,
and including what you see in your mirror, is simply a cosmic accident that resulted from the Big Bang.

This truly GODLESS position in philosophy took place on a mass scale as a result of the Copnerican
Theory which gave birth to the Copernican Principle which results in what is known as The Copernican
SHIFT.

The Copernican Shift

While presented as some great leap in scientific knowledge, the Copernican principle was actually a
step into a spiritual Dark Age that has produced Darwinism, Marxism, Communism, National
Socialism (Nazism) and other social engineering disasters that have resulted in tens of millions (into
the hundreds of millions) of deaths by murder, war, disease, starvation and other atrocities.

This phenomena is painted in the brightest and most positive terms by Copernican Principle adherents
and is referred to as, “The Copernican Shift.” (ADDENDUM)

In cosmology, the Copernican principle, named after Nicolaus Copernicus, states the Earth is not in a

central, specially favoured position. More recently, the principle is generalised to the simple statement
that humans are not privileged observers. In this sense, it is equivalent to the mediocrity principle, with
significant implications in the philosophy of science.

Let’s Get The Science Straight First

And for purposes of clarity, we will work in reverse order by beginning with a collection of quotations
from non-Christian (or “secular”) scientists who, during moments of unguarded candor in some cases
we readily admit, confirm that FACT that real science has NEVER repudiated the Geocentric model:

Before he died, Galileo looked at the SCIENCE and confessed the reality that Copernicus

“The falsity of the Copernican system must not be cast into doubt on any account, and most particularly
not by us Catholics, having the infallible authority of the Sacred Scriptures, interpreted by the greatest
masters in theology, whose harmonious agreement makes us certain of the immobility of the Earth,
situated in the centre, and the mobility of the Sun around it. .” – Galileo Galilei letter to Francesco
Rinuccini, March 29th, 1641.

“People need to be aware that there is a range of models that could explain the observations… For
instance, I can construct you a spherically symmetrical universe with Earth at its center, and you cannot
disprove it based on observations… You can only exclude it on philosophical grounds… What I want
to bring into the open is the fact that we are using philosophical criteria in choosing our models. A lot
of cosmology tries to hide that.” – George Ellis – W. Wayt Gibbs, “Profile: George F. R. Ellis,”
Scientific American, October 1995, Vol. 273, No.4, p. 55

“The assumption of uniformity has much to be said in its (heliocentrism/Big Bang theory) favour. If the
distribution were not uniform, it would either increase with distance, or decrease. But we would not
expect to find a distribution in which the density increases with distance, symmetrically in all
directions. Such a condition would imply that we occupy a unique position in the universe, analogous,
in a sense, to the ancient conception of a central earth. The hypothesis cannot be disproved but it is
unwelcome and would be accepted only as a last resort in order to save the phenomena. Therefore, we
disregard this possibility and consider the alternative, namely, a distribution which thins out with
distance”(Big Bang Theory).

“Both explanations seem plausible, but neither is permitted by the observations. The apparent

departures from uniformity in the World Picture are fully compensated by the minimum possible
corrections for redshifts on any interpretation. No margin is left for a thinning out. The true distribution
must either be uniform or increase outward, leaving the observer in a unique position. But the
unwelcome supposition of a favoured location must be avoided at all costs. Therefore, we accept the
uniform distribution, and assume that space is sensibly transparent. Then the data from the surveys are
simply and fully accounted for by the energy corrections alone – without the additional postulate of an
expanding universe.” – Edwin Hubble, page 40, The Observational Approach to Cosmology.

“[A]ll this evidence that the universe looks the same whichever direction we look in might seem to
suggest there is something special about our place in the universe. In particular, it might seem that if we
observe all other galaxies to be moving away from us, then we must be at the center of the universe[…]
We [reject] it only on grounds of modesty” – Stephen Hawking in A Brief History of Time.

“If the Earth were at the center of the universe, the attraction of the surrounding mass of stars would
also produce redshifts wherever we looked! [This] theory seems quite consistent with our astronomical
observations” – Paul Davies in Nature.

“The new results are either telling us that all of science is wrong and we’re the center of the universe,
or maybe the data is simply incorrect” – Lawrence Krauss, 2006

“[Without Dark Energy, Earth must be] literally at the center of the universe, which is, to say the least,
unusual” – Lawrence Krauss, 2009

“I don’t think [CMB maps] don’t point toward a geocentric universe” – Max Tegmarck, 2011

“[R]ed shift in the spectra of quasars leads to yet another paradoxical result: namely, that the Earth is
the center of the Universe.” – Y.P. Varshni in Astrophysics and Space Science

“Earth is indeed the center of the universe.” – Y.P. Varshni in Astrophysics and Space Science

“If the universe possesses a center, we must be very close to it” – Joseph Silk in The Big Bang: The
Creation and Evolution of the Universe

“The uniform distribution of [gamma-ray] burst arrival directions tells us that the distribution of
gamma-ray-burst sources in space is a sphere or spherical shell, with us at the center” – Jonathan Katz
in The Biggest Bangs: The Mystery of Gamma-Ray Bursts, the Most Violent Explosions in the Universe

“To date, there has been no general way of determining [that] we live at a typical position in the
Universe” – Chris Clarkson et al. inPhysical Review Letters in 2008

This is an incomplete, but growing list of quotations. We will continue to add quotations as we come
across them in our reading and research. But real SCIENCE is clear on the matter.

And, Now, The IMPORTANT Stuff

The Bible is a Geocentric Book. This is not a difficult matter to settle. It is simply a hard pill to
swallow if you’ve been brainwashed by the unsaved world with it’s Darwinian cosmology and blind
adherence to the Copernican Principle.

Those who reject Geocentricity (as I once did) shamelessly reject the clear and obvious truth of
passages like Joshua 10:12-14 in order to placate modern “science falsely so called”. That passage in
Joshua reads as follows:

“Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the
children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon,
in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged
themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the
midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it
or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.”

Joshua said, “Sun, stand thou still. And the sun stood still,…” It’s that SIMPLE. If you would like to
mock or malign me, go right ahead. I won’t lose a moment’s sleep over your unbelief.

Ecclesiastes 1:5 says plainly, ” The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place

where he arose.”

You say, “I don’t believe it.” Then I say, “You are FOOLISH.”

1 Chronicles 16:30 presents a FIXED earth saying, “Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall
be stable, that it be not moved.”

The only real method around such texts is to accuse the King James Bible of error. You would do just
as well to claim that the Devil will eventually be saved and go to Heaven (as some do!). I won’t accept
either claim as being any less blasphemous and insane than the other.

Psalm 93:1 repeats this claim of a stationary, FIXED earth saying, “The LORD reigneth, he is clothed
with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is
stablished, that it cannot be moved.”

As does Psalm 96:10, “Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be
established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.”

And Psalm 104:5 which asks the question, “Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be
removed for ever..?”

Time and time, again, the Biblical truth is clear. The earth is fixed and unmoving. The sun is moving
around the earth (as is the moon and everything else in the sky). It’s simply a matter of BELIEVING
God and accepting the testimony of REAL science which confirms that the Heliocentric position is
philosophical and NOT based on any fact of science.

The Flat Earth: The Devil Is In The Extremes

One ridiculous response to our stand on Biblical Geocentricity is to accuse us of being a, “Flat
Earther!” And then, some will contact us with challenges asking us to, “Study the Flat Earth and you
will see that the entire Global Earth thing is a SCAM!”

Suffice it to say (for the time being) that we reject the ridiculous claims of those promoting what we
believe is a new age, metaphysical FRAUD called, “Flat Earth Theory.” And we recognize the slander
and false accusation as evidence of the fact the Heliocentric defenders know that they cannot refute the
two-fold fact that:

1. The Bible teaches Geocentricity.

 2. Science confirms the Biblical teaching of Geocentricity.

Beyond that, we leave it to very able scientists and researchers to provide sufficient refutation of “Flat
Earther” claims with the following…
