1. Establish objectives of the analysis

2. Study the industry to which firm operates and relate industry climate to current and projected
economic development.

3. Develop knowledge of the firm and the quality of management (Company Background,
Organizational Chart)

4. Evaluate financial statements using any of the techniques below: (show the financial statements
for 3 yrs) then the result of analysis using different techniques
a. Horizontal Analysis of Comparative Statements (Increase Decrease Method)

b. Trend Percentages

c. Common size financial statements

d. Financial ratios

5. Summarize findings based on analysis and reach conclusions about firm relevant to the
established objectives.
