ventricles arc the midline of the longitudinal fluctuation in the Mid Tide. The
anterior midlinc is an cmbrvological scam from the nose to the pubic bone
and a good image of it is the conception vessel meridian in traditional Chinese
medicine. I covered these midlines in Chapter Two.
The next stage of sensing Primary Respiration is the fluctuation between
the practitioner sensing it in himself, then waiting for the clients Primary Res­
piration to reveal itself. When this happens the practitioner usually senses it
in his client as a separate reality. Gradually, the self-other distinction becomes
complementary. This means that as the practitioner pendulates attention from
his Primary' Respiration to the clients and then back to his own, it may be
perceived that the practitioners Primary Respiration is expanding while the
clients is receding, and vice versa. Then it may seem that both the practitioner
