Living in the modern world with easy access to technology means we have the
ability to create new forms of art instead of just relying on old art mediums like
drawing, painting, printmaking, etc. for our art forms. Our world revolves around
technology, and as artists, we should be using it! We can use old art forms like
photography with new technology like Adobe Photoshop to create art that was
impossible just years ago. This unit will be focused on drawing using
technology, specifically Adobe Illustrator.

For your final project, you will be creating a drawing in Illustrator.

Steps we will take as part of our final project are:

1. Learning how Illustrator tools work by outlining an image
2. Creating a physical sketch using simple shapes and lines of an object/person
3. Digitally drawing your object/person and background using the pen tool,
gradient tool, and other tools you find useful (final project)

The requirements for the project and point breakdown include the following:

! Project subject has personal significance or a theme
(includes at least 5 shapes + 1 gradient): 50
! Project has a background that fits the subject
