Dear Sister;

I am writing to express my intention of serving San Guillermo Academy (SGA) as a teacher with
expertise in the field of Mathematics. I am currently enrolled as a student in Laguna State
Polytechnic University Los Baños Campus taking Bachelor of Secondary Education specializing
in Mathematics. I, together with my colleagues, am scheduled to graduate on the 5th of June
2019. I am also planning to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers this September 2019.

During the last year of finishing my bachelor’s degree, I was assigned in Los Baños National High
School – Poblacion (LBNHS – Poblacion) to be a practice teacher. For three months I have
handled at least three sections of Grade 7 students. For a short period of time I have learned so
much in giving instruction and supervision not only among my students, but also among my co-
student teachers. It was indeed an eye-opener to me especially that I never got to experience
studying in a public school during my primary and secondary years of going to school as I spent
my 11 years of studying in your institution, my alma mater – SGA. I was able to see the differences
with learners and eventually accept diversity.

I especially intend to become part of your institution because it is where I have begun developing
my communication skills, computer-literacy, decision-making skills, leadership skills, and time-
management skills. I owe this much to my past teachers and they are my inspiration why I have
built my passion towards sharing my knowledge and skills to other learners.

Although I am still awaiting graduation, I have picked up my confidence to send in my application

to your good office to be part of the faculty in the coming school year 2019-2020. Given my ample
training in college, I am confident that I am ready to work and do the responsibilities of a teacher
and I know that your reputed institution can give me an opportunity to continue to develop myself
professionally.

I am sincerely hoping that you would consider giving me a chance to showcase my skills as a
teacher and entrust your learners’ future with me as their educator. Thank you and God bless.
