This report isa site classification for Lot 158 in Stage 1 Adresse Estate, Point Cook 2 Regional Geology The Department of State Development, Business and Innovation online geology indicates that the site is underlain by Quaternary Newer Volcanics Formation consisting of basalt, minor scoria and ash. This geology was generally confirmed during the site investigation. ‘As part of the subdivision works, controlled fill has been placed extensively within the broader development site under level one supervision undertaken by T&T (refer to report T&T Ref. 3949,001 dated November 2014) At the time of the investigation, the site was currently unoccupied and the ground surface was essentially level. A nominal layer of topsoil was to be placed after the completion of the soil testing 3 Field Investigation Fieldwork was carried out on 3" December 2014. The fieldwork comprised: ‘+ Two (2) boreholes drilled by mechanical auger to 1.7m and 2.2m bgl (below ground level), + Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) test performed to effective refusal of the DCP or 1.5m. bl whichever was the lesser, and ‘+ Hand Shear Vane (SV) tests performed on cohesive soil layers. All fieldwork was carried out under the direction and full time presence of a T&T geotechnical engineer who was responsible for: positioning the test locations; directing the extent of sampling and testing; performing the dynamic cone penetrometer and hand shear vane tests; and logging the conditions encountered. The locations of the field tests are shown on Appendix A. The location of the fieldwork was recorded using a hand-held GPS unit and the accuracy of the survey data is to within 5.0m tolerance. The soil profile encountered in the boreholes consisted of gravelly clay CONTROLLED FILL to depths ranging from 1.5m to 1.7m. In one of the boreholes, refusal on Basalt floater was encountered directly under the CONTROLLED FILL at 1.7m bgl. In the other borehole, silty CLAY ‘was found underlying the CONTROLLED FILL to termination depth at 2.2m bgl where refusal on Basalt floater was encountered. No ground water or perched water table was observed in the boreholes drilled at this site. ‘The engineering field logs are presented in Appendix B. Material classification and logging techniques were carried out in accordance with the attached explanatory notes and wherever ‘Report on Site Classification Lot 158 Stage 1 Adresse Estate, Point Cook Tar Ref, 3949.158.R1 Sunlane Developments No. 1 Ply Lid “enuory 2015
