What is apparent in this Cartoon?

- In this cartoon a humanoid

Donkey and Elephant are seen side
by side holding a remote. A large
power off button is being pressed
constantly by the donkey. The
Elephant is asking what the other
buttons on the remote do while the
donkey don’t have a clue what their
purpose or meaning is.
The true meaning of this Cartoon.
This Cartoon represents the nature of a
Government shutdown and when it is used. The Donkey
or Democrat only resorts to using “Government
Shutdown” and being completely oblivious. It also
shows how both parties are clueless when it comes to
this situation, and how they can solve it. They do not
know the other functions of the government because in
the description the elephant is saying, “any idea what
the other buttons do,” but the Democrats have said no
which is showing that they only know how to shut down
their government and put it back on again but they
don’t know any other functions to show they could also
do something else. The other functions stand for other
system, or method of government.
Where is the Bias ?
Within this Cartoon Bias is
demonstrated due to how it shows
Democrats as having only one resource
of solution, “Government Shutdown”.
But on the Republican side it shows that
they can think of other reason to solve
problems within the government. This is
due to when the Elephant asks about the
other buttons and what they can do
while the Donkey is oblivious to the
other buttons. Although it is a slight
favoring in political sides it is still
considered an element of Bias.
