I am a current senior at the University of South Florida pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
and will graduate on May 2nd, 2019. My experience in the nursing program has taught me to put my
heart into everything I do, provide compassionate care to my patients, and to collaborate as a team.
These skills will allow me to support your organization in fulfilling its mission, vision, and values
daily.

Throughout my academic career in the nursing program, I have completed over 300 hours of clinical
experience predominantly on the renal unit and the cardiovascular step down unit at St. Anthony’s
Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. I have also completed additional hours at Mease Countryside
Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida in the labor and delivery, mother-baby, emergency, and pediatric
units. I believe that working in a new, challenging environment such as yours will provide the
opportunity for me to utilize and expand my skills and knowledge base, while continuing to grow as
a graduate nurse.

Aside from my clinical experience, I have been employed in positions that have expanded my
knowledge base, critical thinking abilities, and interpersonal skills that I believe will be vital for this
position. For the past year I have served as a child caregiver for a family on a regular basis, where I
cared for children of varied ages with different ranges of behavioral developments and special needs.
Through my experience of caring for children, I have developed a greater sense of what it means to
treat everyone with inclusive, compassionate care.

I hope to be granted the opportunity for this position within your hospital. I recognize the value in
