HOW TO GET THE TARGET ID OF YOUR MACHINE

========================================

Summary: just double-click on the lumtgtid.exe icon to get the target id.
--------

If you want to run the software with a nodelock license, you need to get
the target id of your machine when ordering the license.
The following explains how to obtain this id.

There are 2 executables working both on Windows 32-bit platforms

and Windows 64-bit platforms:
1/ lumtarget.exe
2/ lumtgtid.exe

If you double-click on lumtgtid.exe, a message box displaying the windows

target id of the machine will be presented. The target id is a
16 hexadecimal [0-9A-F] character number. Make sure that the string "windows"
is also displayed alongside the target id.

Depending on the network configuration of your machine, the windows target id

might not be available or is equal to 0000000000000000 or FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.
This is when lumtarget.exe in command-line mode is needed:

1/ Open a Command Prompt window and go to the CDROM drive directory.

2/ Run "lumtarget -z"

This will list enabled network adapter GUIDs and names that can be used for the
target id.

3/ Run "lumtarget -d {12345678-90AB-CDEF-1234-567890ABCDEF}"

where {12345678-90AB-CDEF-1234-567890ABCDEF} is one the network adapter GUIDs.
Make sure you select a network adapter that will be enabled when running
the licensed program.

4/ Run lumtarget or lumtgtid

You should obtain a windows target id.

NOTE: Do not repeat step 2 once you have a valid windows target id.

The target id is also displayed:

1/ in the "Import Certificate" panel when installing the software.
2/ in the Tools/Options/Licensing panel when running the application.
3/ in the Nodelock Key Management tool, from the Start/Programs/CATIA/Tools Windows
menu.
