Maria Miniello:
Kato text 2 page 32 - Application of Ki-Ten 10
To release tension in the heart area (a Mudra for treating oneself).
The Heart and Diaphragm flows end in the Little and Ring fingers respectively, so this Mudra will help relieve tension
from a heart attack and/or diaphragm attack by bringing excess energy away from these areas.

Cher Seat Lim Devey:

Many thanks for reminding me of this. I remember - This hold can jump start your heart beat.

Maria Miniello:
I remember that this hold can be done on another besides a Self -Help. I guess there's no difference for this.
There was a story about Jed applying this to a plane passenger next to him.

Maria Miniello:
To apply this hold on others:
The practitioner places their Right Hand on the receiver's Left SEL 10
the Left Hand holds the receiver's Left Little and Ring fingers, at the same time.

In this case, you approach the receivers Left Hand from the Top Side (not palm side)
so that there is no 'twist' in their arm and your thumb is on their Little Finger.

Cher Seat Lim Devey: Many thanks Maria Miniello.
Makes sense to hold SEL 10 as well – for the lung.
I just wonder whether this hold will be good for someone having fits. Any comments?

Maria Miniello Maybe look at fits in a different way, by taking energy out of the head and directing it as far from the brain as possible -
the feet. 7's are good for this action.

Deborah Engisch-Platt: There are a couple of other things self help things you can do if you believe you're having a heart attack:
Self Help for the Heart:
Right hand holds the Left hand Little Finger, then reach up & over the back, with both right & left arms,
going as far down as you can reach toward the Left Side 10.
Hold for as long as possible, until the heart rate settles down.
Also, holding along both the inner & out fingernail of the left hand little finger – helps the heart to settle down into a normal rhythm.
inching the inner & outer lip – just below the nose helps as well.
