Lysosomal Storage Disorders are a group of metabolic disorders with
varied clinical presentation. The pathogenesis of these disorders are being
unraveled and therapeutic options are increasingly becoming available.
Early diagnosis helps in preventing complications and instituting therapies
wherever feasible. Understanding the molecular basis helps in phenotype-
genotype correlation, prenatal diagnosis and also in bringing in new
therapeutic models. This CME hopes to give an enriching learning
experience for practicising paediatricians in the early diagnosis, monitoring
guidelines and therapeutic options for children with these disorders. We
have with us a very renowned metabolic physician, Dr Ashok Vellodi from
The United Kingdom, who has years of experience in managing children
with Lysosomal disorders. He will guide us through this two day CME and
make our understanding about lysosomal disorders better.
