The American Broadcasting Company Channel Is Producing the Grey’s Anatomy Movie
but with a twist focusing on Meredith Grey’s childhood and past

New York, NY. (Feb 7, 2019) – The American Broadcasting Company has announced the
release of their new Grey’s Anatomy Movie, it is expected to release in July of 2021 by the
producer of the Grey’s Anatomy show, Shonda Rhimes.

Staring in this movie are a few of the same characters from Grey’s Anatomy but they will be
younger. The role of Meredith Grey will be from the perspective of a child. Meredith’s parents
Elis and Fletcher Grey will be prominent characters in the movie. This is similar the flashbacks
from Meredith’s childhood. The movie will go into greater depth on what traumatized Meredith
as a child, what motivated her to become a doctor, how the affair with Richard affected her and
her mother’s relationship, and how she managed as her parents began to fall apart.

“I am so used to making tv shows, I am beyond excited to shoot my first movie,” Rhimes said
after leaving the set in Seattle.

The movie will be shot in Seattle, in the hospital Elis Grey worked in. Estimating a $4.5 million
budget, the production team will be recreating the hospital Meredith would see in the show
Greys Anatomy; displaying her old child hood house, her surgical toes her mom would get her as
a child, and even glimpses of her going off into medical school.

Ellen Pompoe aka Meredith Grey has been the star in past 13 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy. She is
an American actress and producer and is one of the highest paid tv actors she signed a contract
with the American Broadcasting Company in 2017. One of her most famous shows on the ABC
channel, Grey’s Anatomy displays her first years of medical school, her passion for surgery, and
her love life.

“It feels so natural shooting the movie to what seems like my real childhood,” Pompoe says. “I
can’t wait for my children to get older and see the movie their mom stared in,” we are expecting
this movie to be a big hit for Pompoe.

To afford the budget of $4.5 million we raised the money hosting free tv shows and popcorn
nights specifically playing Grey’s Anatomy. Several fundraising foundations such as The Purple
Movie and Show Nights contributed millions of dollars to the ABC production to make this
movie happen, but it all could not be possible with-out the original producer Shonda Rhimes.
