To Whom It May Concern:
1am pleased and proud to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Ms. Sarah Anderson. She
recently completed her student teaching at Mount Nittany Middle School in the State College Area
School District. She worked exclusively in a sixth-grade classroom, where she taught math and science
toa diverse group of students. During her sixth-grade assignment, Ms. Anderson displayed many
qualities important to the teaching profession
From the start of her time with us, Ms. Anderson became an integral part of our classroom. She had an
instant rapport with the students and did not hesitate to take on any task given to her. Not a day went
by where she did not take the time to make her students feel like they were a valuable part of the
classroom and school community.
Asa student teacher, Sarah displayed poise, confidence, and professionalism during her time at Mount
Nittany. She was able to quickly observe the structure and routine of the classroom and took on many
responsibilities with ease and confidence. Her lesson plans were well thought out and executed. Sarah
used a variety of delivery methods to keep her students highly engaged and involved from the start to
the end of class each day. She demonstrated good judgment in her daily instructional decisions and was
able to easily adapt her teaching and instruction to the variety of student needs that were present in our
classroom. During her time at Mount Nittany, Ms. Anderson utilized various methods for evaluating.
student progress and understanding. Through the use of daily warmups, exit tickets, informal check-ins,
{group work, and formal assessments, she was able to evaluate her students’ progress in order meet
their educational needs. | truly feel that the time Ms. Anderson spent in our classroom was
educationally productive for the students.
Ms, Anderson has great enthusiasm and a positive outlook toward education and children. She
respected her students and was always willing to spend extra time with those who needed additional
support. Her attentiveness to her students, coupled with her caring manner, led the students to trust,
and accept her as their teacher. | truly believe that Sarah will be an excellent teacher at any level. She
has the ability and potential required to be successful and it has been a pleasure working with her.
