academic performance?
Arianna Lee, Anna Donato, Karen Nazario
Year of Study
Fresh. Soph. Junior Senior
Out of 90 total responses…

● 51 freshmen
● 21 sophomores
● 13 juniors
● 5 seniors

Again proving that more ASU

students come from Arizona
From In-State or Out-of State

● A trend can be seen in

each class level
● Based on the data: More
ASU undergraduates
come from in-state
Live On or Off Campus

On Off
● Data shows that a much greater
percentage of off campus
students are in-state students
● This could potentially have an
impact on their participation in
classes and organizations
School Involvement Beyond Classes
A much larger percentage of students NOT involved
in other organizations are in-state students
Yes No

This could have a variety of impacts such as:

- Taking time away from studies

- V.S.
- Decrease school involvement/ motivation
GPA

Overall In-State students

7.69%
seem to have slightly
higher GPAs 7.69% 9.38%

43.75%
However Out-of-State 26.92%
students have less “low- 23.44%
end” GPAs

53.85%
20.31%
Conclusion

● In-State students seem to have slightly higher GPAs

● Out-of State students have less “low-end” GPAs
● End results are affected because there is not an equal number of in-state and out-of state
students involved in this research
