1 Preface
GPRS is a plug-in communication module for controllers IL-NT, IC-NT, ID-Lite, and the
ID-FLX platform which provides wireless connectivity. The following protocols are
available:
ComAp proprietary protocol for wireless connection of ComAp PC programs such
as LiteEdit and InteliMonitor.
AirGate® support
WebSupervisor® support
LiteEdit
Power supply for IL-NT-GPRS plug in card (8-36 volt DC, same as power supply
of controller)
GSM Antenna
o Operating Frequencies - 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 Hz
o SMA Connector
Hint: Used SIM card must be unlocked. Any manipulation with the plug-in module shall
be done with disconnected power supply to controller and module.

2 Installation
2.1 GPRS Module
For correct installation of the module please follow the guide:

2.2 Connections
Disconnect battery voltage from the controller.
Connect the Antenna to the SMA connector.
Install the SIM card.
Connect 8-36 volt DC power source to the GPRS module.

Power up the system (controller and module together) and wait 2-4 minutes for
the first connection of the system to AirGate. AirGate will generate automatically
the AirGate ID.
Test settings using the last measurement screen. Verify the following.

If an error is present on the GPRS network a number will be displayed in the “GSM Diag
Code”. Please see table below.
In case of “GSM Diagnostic code” different from “0”, please contact the operator of your
SIM card services for the proper GPRS APN settings. You will need following to fill in
the setpoints:
Access Point Name (APN)
User Name
Password

Enter correct APN settings in the setpoints group “Comms Settings”. Obtain access
using either the front display (Engineer Mode) or using LiteEdit 4.5 or higher.
If the connection is succesfull, you will see following picture 5 with airgate ID. This
screen is on the last position in the main menu.
Airgate ID you can use for InteliLite InteliMonitor and WebSupervisor connection.
Please note, that GPRS connection do note provide IP Address. There are no
possibilities for Modbus connection.
Controller cannot be reprogram with LiteEdit, you will not be able to do this
procedure.
