The Battle of Hastings

1. Harold arranged his army around

him on Stamford Hill to prepare for
the Norman attack.
2. The battle started at 9 a.m. with
about 8000 men on each side.
3. The Saxons stopped them with their
shields.
4. The Saxons beat the Normans who
had to retreat.
5. William of Normandy decided to
launch an attack against the Saxons.
6. The Normans attacked the Saxons
and William won the battle.
7. Two of Harold’s brothers were
killed and finally Harold died at the
battle field.
