The sentential participants� roles in the two data sets were all occupied by

inanimate entities, such as amazing cars, efficient motor, blue sky, marketing
plan, marketing campaigns, marketing program, market spending, marketing trend,
marketing methods, corporate marketing resources, and industry marketing
expenditures. The participants in the present study assumed that they share with
their readers specialist or expert knowledge, as evidenced by their use of
abbreviations and acronyms of technical terms that carry meanings not generally
known by the broader community, such as GDP (Gross Domestic Product), MSRP
(Manufacturer�s Suggested Retail Price), COGS (cost of goods sold), HP
(horsepower), and R&D (research and development). The use of these specialist terms
