Letter of Recommendation: Khadija Abdi

Dear:

Khadija Abdi has worked under my supervision since January 9, 2019 as a Nursing Student in the 4th
semester Preceptorship in the BSN program at the University of Arizona, College of Nursing. Khadija had
her Preceptorship at Encompass Health Rehab Facility, Tucson, Arizona on the Medical Surgical Unit.
Khadija has taken on 5-6 patients for this particular unit at times including: managing of her patients,
assisting other staff members with their patients, and Shadowing the Charge Nurse, and Wound Care
Nurse. During her rotation, Khadija has proved to be an efficient, hardworking, patient advocate and
important team member. Not only did her Preceptor, but other staff members commented on her
excellence when caring for her patients, families, and working as a team. Khadija always came prepared
to her clinical setting per her Preceptor.

I was very impressed with Khadija’s ability to complete all work assigned to her in a timely and
professional manner. In addition, Khadija was very precise and thorough with all her work. Khadija
attended and presented “Staying Healthy in the Summer Months” for seniors at Oro Valley United
Church of Christ, Oro Valley, Az. During this time at Oro Valley Church she also provided education
when taking Blood pressures, heart rate and respirator rate for each senior. Khadija is a team leader not
only in the classroom but also in clinical.

I highly recommend Khadija for whatever position she may decide to endeavor. She is a type of person
that anyone would enjoy to work be side.
