Essential Question
In what ways can a psychologist help improve a client’s life?

Project/Showcase Description:
I will describe what psychologists do and explain how it
improve a client’s life. I will also explain a type of therapy
that a psychologist does and show how efficient is. Judges
will play a brainstorming game centered around motivation.
1. What personal interest do you have in this topic? Why have you
chosen this topic for your Senior Project/Showcase?
I like helping others with their problems and I struggled
depression, and tried to do it all on my own. I really wanted to
make a difference in people’s lives and give them the tools they
need to grow and change for the good.

2. What research questions will you seek to answer? What kinds of

sources might you look for?​ ​What exactly do psychologist do? How
do they work with their clients?

3. Who is a person (specifically, or in general) with experience or

expertise in this field you might interview? What understanding do you
hope to gain from this person?
With the social worker of the school and the psychologist of the
school.

4. What situations, events, or places could you observe or experience

to gain insight into your topic?
I can learn from my mentors by going to their offices and see a
demonstration of what they do and explain to me the process.

5. What challenges might you encounter with your research or

project? What assistance or tools will you need to overcome them?
One challenge would be trying to explain my research and what
to show to my judges of my project. I would go with my mentor
and ask some tips and ideas for my presentation.

6. What other questions or concerns do you have about your Senior

Capstone Project at this time? ​I have no questions.
