My approach to problem solving has 4 steps: 1) order the available information, 2) analyze the information and potential solutions based on past experiences, 3) test the selected solution, and 4) evaluate if the problem was solved or needs another solution to be selected and tested. While problem solving approaches vary between individuals based on their experiences, ordering information, thoughtful analysis and testing of solutions has worked for me to systematically address problems.

What is your approach to problem-solving and how does it work
for you? Use specific details to support your response.
Problem solving approach is a useful tool utilized in different
situations by different people. However, it has various level of accuracy. In my case, it is a still working progress. I have developed this ability through the years, mixing my personal and professional life experiences to have an adequate response to problems.
My approach to problem solving has 4 steps; order, analyze, testing
and response. First, I must order the information that I have about the situation or the problem that I have to solve, because without a proper order you cannot see clearly through the issue.
Once I have ordered the data, I analyze the information applying
my solving problem experiences, also it is important not applying just your experiences but others too. And find the solution that is adequate to the situation.
After the last step, you must test the solution that you find, and see the consequence that this particular choice of solution may will have.
The last step is to evaluate if the problem is solved or not. If it is
solved, then, you did a great job, if not find another solution and repeat since the analysis step.
Finally, the problem solution approach will be different for
everyone because, it is limited to the experiences that the person has. My 4 steps method is not rocket science but it will do its job, anyway, at the end the only thing that does not have solution is death, everything else has one.
