108GR-Midterm exam II-Singing portion Dongryul Lee

The Singing Portion of the Midterm II will take place on Friday, Nov.16th, during class. Use movable-do
solfege syllables for major and la-based minor solfege syllables for minor keys. You can also use scale degree
singing. *You may be expected to read out of the instructor’s copy during the exam.

Sing and play (you may sing or play whichever part you like):
Ottman book #15.91 (p. 261)
Please check if the excerpt in your book is Bach, Cantata No. 197.
You should sing exactly the same example.

Prepared melodies: study the melodies listed below To PERFECTION. You will sing one of these
during the exam.
From the Rogers/Ottman book: #9.29 (p.142), and #11.28 (p.166).
From three Bach melodies below:
Prepared duet: with your singing partner, study both parts of the excerpt attached together. You may
be asked to sing either part during the exam.
