GOVERNMENT
The Summit was themed
around the 7 cultural mountains
of business, government,
education, media, arts and
entertainment, family and the
church. This concept originated
in 1975 through Bill Bright,
founder of Campus Crusade for
Christ and Loren Cunningham,
founder of Youth With a
Mission. Later Francis Schaeffer followed with the same. They believed God showed them that
these areas were where most people adopted their values and beliefs and that if we wanted to
impact our culture, we needed to raise up leaders within these seven areas.
Some of the keynote speakers included Roma Downey, Tony Perkins, Ken Blackwell, Del
Tackett, Lance Wallnau, Steve Green, Hugh Hewitt, and Dr. AR Bernard. There were 36 other
10-minute Ted Talk type panel presentations from 36 other national leaders.
iv
Os Hillman, in his opening talk,
said that it only takes 3-5%
of a leadership operating at the
tops of these 7 mountains to shift
the culture. He cited the gay rights
movement as an example.
With a population of less than 3%,
they have shifted this issue from
being a moral issue to be a civil issue
by using a calculated strategy in each
of these cultural mountains. Hillman
also shared the goal of the Summit
“1am so inspired by
those extraordinary
Christian leaders from
different 7 Mountains
standing up and raising
voice for the kingdom of
God. The collaboration
of kingdom strategies is
‘so important, and | am
0 encouraged that
Cutture Shapers
Summit successfully
provide the platform to
Tet us work together.”
