“How do you know that God exists?” and “What made God exist?

” are two entirely different questions

and not basic at all. The above theory was meant for the former question.

Human brain has its limitations. Can you imagine the state after life ends? What would happen if there’s
nothing, how would it be? No, these sort of questions lead you to nothingness – a black hole. A human
cannot think beyond that. Let’s suppose you’ve manufactured a new product, which nobody knows
about. If you ask anyone about characteristics of that product, they wouldn’t be able to answer. Why?
Because only the manufacturer would have that information, others can only assume.

You would not ask questions like “what made God exist” or “what does God look like” if you are able to
define God and believe in His existence. You must know the correct concept of one true God and believe
in His oneness, in the sense of His being the only Creator, Preserver, Nourisher, etc. God is Al-Qayyum
i.e. Self-Sufficient or Self-Subsistent.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was asked by his contemporaries about Allah; to which Allah himself
answered in chapter 112 of the Quran, which reads:

"In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate.

Say (O Muhammad) He is God the One God, the Everlasting Refuge, who has not begotten, nor has been
begotten, and equal to Him is not anyone."

The Creator must be of a different nature from the things created because if He is of the same nature as
they are, He will be temporal and will therefore need a maker. It follows that nothing is like Him. If the
maker is not temporal, then He must be eternal. Nevertheless, if He is eternal, He cannot be caused, and
if nothing outside Him causes Him to continue to exist, then He must be self-sufficient. Moreover, if God
does not depend on anything for the continuance of His own existence, then this existence can have no
end. The Creator is therefore eternal and everlasting: "God is the First and the Last."
