The standard times shown in this handbook are coded to their original usage.
For example: A load/unload time was determined on a lathe. The code is “T”
(For Turning). This signifies where the standard was originally used. The code
is shown as the first character in the comments section of each standard time
as illustrated:

Arbor Collar, Rem & Place G-Remove & Place Arbor Collar.
Remove collar(s) from arbor, then replace them when all
gears are in place.
Cutter Back & Advance G-Back Off And Advance Gear Cutter.
Back cutter away from work, insert new piece and
advance cutter to piece.
Edge, Hammer & Chisel B-Chip Part Edge With Hammer And Chisel.
Chip the edges of a part with hammer and chisel to
remove scale and sand before finish.
Grommet Install From Bin E-Take Grommet From Bin And Install.
Reach for grommet in bin and install in fixture.
Hob, Back Off & Advance M-Clear Hob And Advance Per Inch.
Manually back out feed screw to clear work, then advance
slide to position hob.
Jig Bore, Move Table w/Hand BM-Move Table With Hand Wheel.
Move jig bore table into position with hand wheel.
Lubricant, Apply, Tube 1" BW-Apply With Tube To Area 1" Sq.
Apply lubricant to one square inch area.
