This week I learned how to make two different types of formative assessments.

I chose to

make a Kahoot game and a Google Forms based on a lesson that I would teach on coins. Kahoot

was very easy to use and it is definitely something I see myself using in the future when I have a

class of my own. After teaching a lesson I can create a Kahoot game based on that lesson.

Checking the results afterward will give me an idea of where my students are and whether or not

they understood what I was teaching. Plus, it's fun! In high school my teachers would use Kahoot

and everyone loved it, and I know my future students will too. Kahoot has a feature where it

gives you the top three players, and as a way to encourage my students to do their best, I can give

a piece of candy or a prize to the top three students. Next, I used Google Forms, which was easy

to make. This is a great way to have my students take an online quiz or survey using their

Chromebooks. The results will be on my computer and it will be a lot easier to see the results on

a screen rather than having to look through a bunch of papers everywhere. The only problem that

I had with both of these was transferring them to my Weebly website, but I eventually figured it

out. Overall both of these were very easy to create and didn't take a long time to make. These are

both things that I will use in the future with my students. It is a great and fun way for my

students and also me to see where they are at with the lesson I taught. These tools are a great way

to have my students incorporate technology into their learning experience.
